today was the best day since I’ve been back from tour & NYC

today while I was waiting for the T to go to Bon Iver, there was a girl with a tiny pitbull puppy. I couldn’t help but sit down next to her and ask if I could pet the dog. It immediately started licking and teething my hand and fingers. It’s fur and paws were so soft, and it had the most adorable face. I owner patiently sat there with the dog in her lap while I let it nibble at me for a couple of minutes. I couldn’t stop smiling. That dog was the most adorable thing I have seen in a while.

today I went and sat outside Bon Iver, to listen to the concert from the street since I didn’t have enough money to buy a ticket when they went on sale over the summer. A police officer approached me to see if I was alright. I explained that I simply wanted to hear the music, but didn’t have enough money for a ticket inside. He mentioned it to one of the employees at the door, and then waved me right into the venue, no ticket needed. I proceeded to get in the front section for the last number of songs. It was one of the most incredible performances I have ever seen, and I was overwhelmed with emotion from both the amazing music and the unexpected chance that I would have the opportunity to see one of my favorite artists live.

today reminded me that good things come around when you’re stuck in a shitty situation.
